P2P Lending Portfolio update April 2019

Peer to Peer Lending: Portfolio update Apr 2019

Hello everyone with an Investors Mindset!

Thank you and welcome to another monthly update of my investment portfolio. As a small recap, I’ve started in June 2018 and build up my portfolio in P2P Investing to €10000. I’m nearing €11000 now within one year. Just let that sink in for a moment, and then compare it to your return on your savings account. I keep a healthy amount there for emergencies. But I’ve decided to continually (re)-invest the rest. That being said, I’ve strengthened my Stock Investments to €8000 this month. A lot of exciting stuff there too, with a lot of earnings being reported of stocks I own, plus early this month my first dividends!

As we are coming to a steady amount of readers I also want to launch an idea. Would you be interested in me supporting a charity? First I could do a poll and give a couple of options. Then I can show an actual investment in it, for example €100. We could also set-up a fund where our readers can assist that I will invest fully, with screenshots. As I think receiving things is great, but giving back and helping our planet in doing so is also important. Feel free to leave your comments below, for next month I could potentially include a poll to which charities as I have some in mind.

Here are the numbers of April 2019:

P2P Portfolio Update March 2019

Peer to Peer Lending: Portfolio update Mar 2019

Hello to all with an Investors Mindset!

Thank you all for joining me on another update of my portfolio. I’m proud to say that 10% is really the name of the game here. That means, almost all my starting platforms have reached the first milestone of 10% interest on my initial investment.

Granted, some have reached this with a bonus of some kind, secondary market trading, … but none the less I’ve started this journey in June 2018 and now less than one year later almost every platform has reached €100 interest on the initial €1000 investment (or equivalent).

And I must say this is a proud moment for me. It also means that all the platforms I decided on in this journey are still going strong and stable without any dark clouds ahead. Now time to let the compounding effect do its thing and hopefully in the next 10 months I have another 10% on top of my initial investments. My portfolio is complete now with my maximum of €10.000 invested and here are the numbers for March 2019:

P2P Lending Portfolio Update

Peer to Peer Lending: Portfolio update Feb 2019

Hello to all with an Investors Mindset!

First of all, let me welcome you to the new and improved website, directed mostly to investment methods which are much better than putting your money on a normal savings account and let inflation beat you down every year. And a new website, requires a new intro! Pages are still under construction and will be finalized during this month.

My initial website (solidcore.be) was mostly a domain I still had available from my own business in the past. As the blog was getting more traffic and attention, I thought it needed a more professional approach. I also took this chance to move over to WordPress as CMS – which gives me more options and flexibility than the previous one.

Anyhow, I’ll make a full post about the idea behind this website and the goal later this month. Stay tuned. But for now – let’s dive straight into the numbers.

Peer to Peer Lending: Portfolio update Jan 2019

Hello fellow alternative investment seekers!

I can’t really grasp that January has ended already… Where did this month go? I have so many projects to finish this year, which most haven’t even started yet and now I only have 11 months left? Ah well, worries for another day. Today is reporting the interest returns day, much more fun than speaking about work!

So let’s dive right into it, January brought in EUR103,30, so still above the triple digits goal with the total account value jumping above EUR8.000. Please find the numbers below.

Peer to Peer Lending: Portfolio update Dec 2018

Hello fellow alternative investment seekers!

Thank you for joining in reading the blog again in the new year!

So let me start with wishing you all the best for 2019, a lot of financial wisdom and success and hopefully a great return on your investments.

Yesterday I was mostly with family & friends so I apologise for the delay in posting. Looking at the traffic to the blog, many were doing the same so I hope you all had a great holiday season.

Let’s start with the update to my current portfolio – where as mentioned last month the interest broke three digits! Really happy to start the new year with these monthly interest returns from now on being above EUR100! And of course by the compounding effect should go up even more – aside from future platforms/deposits.

Peer to Peer Lending: Portfolio update Nov 2018

Hello fellow alternative investment seekers!

Yet another month has passed… You all know what that means; incoming money!
Well,… not really as most of the incoming interests are spread out over the month, but at least now I can report about the month of November to you all!

I must say I can get used to this, checking the Crowdlending platforms every few days and finding out I’m a few euro richer without having to do anything. I hope you all get excited by hearing this and get excited for the same goals. This is a world where normal people like us can help each other / local businesses / the planet in general. It’s not something our current banking system likes, but that system is built on “fake” money. At least this is based on real money, money from the people, and I think will be here for a long time to come. And as time goes by very quickly, so do those few euro’s which turn into solid returns.

Let’s dive into the numbers of this month!

Crowdlending Review Oct18

Peer to Peer Lending: Portfolio update Oct 2018

Hello fellow alternative investment seekers!

And happy Halloween/All Saint’s Day/… for those that celebrate it.

Time really does fly and we are nearing the end of the year. As my initial goal was to invest up to EUR10000in different platforms and I think around year end I will be able to start investing again.

The idea is to maybe invest a bit more in Envestio, as this is currently outperforming the other platforms and add one or two more to keep diversifying the risks. I have 3 platforms in mind with around 15% returns. So more investigation in those will determine which to me feels the most comfortable choice.

I had hoped to do this a bit sooner, but then I had some unexpected investments to do on my apartment which I decided to take a bit further than initially planned and that set me back around EUR15000 for new windows, new roof and new boiler/heater.

But first off, please find the results of this month below:

Envestio Review

Mintos interest rates dropping? Envestio review, my first recommendation in Peer to Peer Lending!

Hello to all with an Investors Mindset!

As this is my very first review of one of the platforms I have invested in, I hope you do me the favour of taking it a little bit easy on me with comments… But good advice is very much appreciated! I will always try to write my posts in an easy to read style – I am but a simple person myself – with honest thoughts and 100% real numbers.

So let’s dive into the review… The below review is fully based on my own opinions and experience.

Mintos was the platform I was most excited about when I started investigating peer to peer lending platforms. This started nearly three months ago, not too long after my marriage. The reason being of course trying to approach our future smart, financially speaking.

After that, it took me about a month to have my diversified portfolio of 6 different platforms, where I had invested a total of €5500 in. At the time of this post, nearly one and a half months into the platforms on average, the total portfolio value is just a little above €5600. Not bad at all… already €100 up. I believe with that amount in Belgium I would have gotten €5 after a full year!

A big part of this interest increase has to do with Envestio, which has a portfolio value of €1026.11 at the time of writing, with a few more payments coming up this month. As I only started investments with them on the 2nd of July, I have to admit… not bad!

The reason why I’m not writing a review about the first platform I started investing in, Mintos, but the one I ended with (for now – doing some renovations in the apartment so further investing will be delayed a bit) is just because of the all-around great impression they gave me. And yes, because of the announced Mogo buybacks on Mintos (read more), their interest rates have dropped quite a bit.

So first of all, who is Envestio?

Are they trustworthy? Is Envestio a scam? Do they have long-term stability and plans?

As always, don’t take my word for it, do your own research as there are always risks involved.

Envestio started approximately 4 years ago, have offices in Riga, Latvia and offer investment opportunities in Real Estate, Business, Energy and also Cryptomining equipment. Their website is easy to use and understand.

Envestio offers a very clear overview and can get you started very quickly. You can start investing with as low as €100. Their focus on Crowdinvesting with great and interesting projects made me a believer and I can vouch they are definitely not a scam and are growing to become a P2P Lending platform to be reckoned with.

At the time of writing, August 15th, they had their first “1-day project” (open to the crowd in the morning and fully financed by the evening) on the platform. It was the “Biomass fuel – factoring 1” project with total value of €40,000.

Their latest numbers (as of the end of July) are: €1,441 mln invested, 854 people registered.

Some bonus points about Envestio:

  • Good interest rates, on average a whopping 18% since I joined. They’ve recently added the Biomass Fuel project, which is giving 22%, or a new Crypto mining option with 20,5%. I always advise to diversify, so up to you to take your pick.

And the above Projects are just two examples of the six active investment options.

  • Good starting bonus of €5 and another 0,5% of the total invested amount over the first 9 months! You can see below my own “Timespan bonus for Invitee” of €5,77. This is because I used an affiliate link to join and was already paid out after 1 month based on my total investments over that period.
  • Extremely useful overview on the homepage Dashboard. The “Investments repayment schedule” will show exactly how much interest is coming in next by showing the 10 next results as default.
  • On time payment of all the loans! If I’m honest this to me is a very big plus. Because for some of the other platforms delayed payments are a real hassle. Below the overview of interest received in July.
  • Good choice of projects, with plenty of availability. What I mean by this is there has been a steady flow of new projects and the active ones aren’t sold out in one day or even one week. This gives investors like us the time to investigate a bit and not having to act immediately.
  • Detailed information about the projects, with pictures and exact payment dates & amount. Envestio compares it to an investment of €1000. That way you can easily calculate if you invest €100 or €500 yourself the monthly return.
  • Buyback option and guarantee on the projects. Please read on the Envestio blog for more info.
  • A useful statistic, even though at the moment there is only one. This might be a suggestion to them to expand the options here a little bit.

I could go on… but safe to say out of the 6 current platforms Envestio is my favourite. And not solely based on the high-interest returns.

I hope this platform has a great future ahead. However, I must warn everyone reading this (thank you very much for that by the way!) investing in peer to peer lenders always comes with risk. That’s why the key really is diversification. If one of my investments fails and I lose my money on it, the others will make up for it after 1 year due to the great rates. So please make sure to do your due diligence before investing.

This brings me to the end… my conclusion

Envestio has given me the confidence to recommend them as a p2p platform and so far the contact I have had with their people have been really smooth with a very quick response. From the moment I joined, one and a half months ago, there have been no shortages on loans and they’ve had a steady flow of new projects. This is a big bonus point for me.

So if this lights a small fire within you, feel free to sign up through any of the links on my blog. This will give you the bonus mentioned above, and will also help me with keeping the blog alive.

If you would like to share any of your own experiences with Envestio, or any of the other platforms you’d like to get a review about. Feel free to leave a comment and I’ll make sure to get back to you.

Again, I’d like to take a moment to thank you and I wish you a very pleasant day. Happy investing!

Kind regards,

Ken

Peer to Peer Lending: Portfolio update July 2018

Hello, fellow alternative investment seekers!

If you are looking for a smarter way to invest, then this portfolio update of my first full month should get you at least a little bit excited.

During June 2018 I started with peer to peer lending with the first platform: Mintos. Eventually, it led to me investing a total of €5500 spread across 6 different platforms. Originally I was hoping to invest a little bit more at once, but some unforeseen costs have slowed down my investment strategy there.

However no worries, the goal I had initially planned by 2025 (more about this in the About page) is still achievable and I will try to add some more funds later on in maybe one or two more platforms.
